The storyline of the Rozen Maiden anime involves living dolls who fight one another in the "Alice Game". This papercraft is a chibi version of the fourth Rozen Maiden doll, Souseiseki. Souseiseki fights with a pair of scissors and has the power to enter other's dreams. The papercraft template for Souseiseki was created by Kudan and may be downloaded here.

Stitch's Ray Gun Papercraft
The Disney character Stitch (from the 2002 animated movie Lilo & Stitch) appears in the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep video game for PSP. Also called "Experiment 626", Stitch sometimes makes use of a ray gun. This paper model of Stitch's ray gun is based on a 3D model from KHBBS. The gun is full scale and measures about 7"(17.8 cm) in length. The two page, eight piece template for this papercraft may be downloaded here. I hope to be able to do some more Birth by Sleep papercraft in coming months, so stay tuned!Previous KHBBS Papercraft:

Official Ben 10 Papercraft
These two items are the first official Ben 10 papercraft from Cartoon Network I have come across. The first item is a papercraft omnitrix watch which includes ten different medallions that can be attached to the face. The second item is a paper toy of Ben himself. In the show, Ben uses the omnitrix to transform into various alien creatures. Try as I might, I could not find these papercraft models on the US version of the Cartoon Network website. They appear to only be available on the French version of the site. To get the goods, look for the download links at the bottom of the page here.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Eye Papercraft
On a whim, I took my Eye of Agamotto paper model and made some modifications to create this Millennium Eye papercraft. In the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe, the Millennium Eye is one of seven Millennium artifacts that give their bearers special powers. Among other things, the Eye gives the bearer the ability to read another's mind and to see what their eyes see. This papercraft is actually two models: the Millennium Eye itself and a carved stone base to hold the Eye. For a smoother look, the Eye in the photo above was built without folding the pieces. The base, however, does have folds. The lined and unlined templates for this papercraft may be downloaded here.Wednesday, July 6, 2011
Yu-Gi-Oh Papercraft: Marik Cubee
One of the foremost adversaries in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series, Marik Ishtar is the possessor of the Millennium Rod. According to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki, the Millennium Rod "grants the holder the power of bending wills of others through mind control and also lets its user telepathically communicate with their servants." This Marik cubee was designed by the Animepapertoys blog and may be downloaded here. The build photo is by xOxChelseaxOx at DeviantART. Monday, July 4, 2011
TMNT Paper Toys
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles began as a black and white comic book in 1984 and the rest, as they say, is history. Graphic designer Armadilloboy has created a set of lovable TMNT paper toys. Each of the four toys comes with it's own pizza (which just may inspire me to add another pizza to my own pizza paper toy series! ^^) Pictured above is Ninja Turtle Michelangelo. Templates for Mikey and his three pals may be downloaded here.Friday, June 17, 2011
Pokemon Origami: Pikachu Head
DeviantART member Kabateru-chan did a great job transforming a simple origami bunny into a cute pikachu head by making use of yellow construction paper, black and red markers and whiteout. Folding instructions for the original origami rabbit she used are available here.Thursday, June 2, 2011
Studio Ghibli Papercraft: Laputa Robot Soldier Mask
The 1986 Studio Ghibli animated movie Castle in the Sky has some really unique looking robot soldiers. A Japanese fan created this large, helmet-like mask based on the look of the robots in the film. Although the mask in the photo was built with regular paper, building with cardstock would undoubtedly help the finished product be more sturdy and have a more definite shape. The template for the Laputa robot mask may be downloaded here. The download is in a zipped .lzh format which may be opened with 7-Zip open source software, among other things.Monday, May 30, 2011
Pop Culture Paper Toy Tubes
Designer and animator Eduardo Souzacampus has created a delightful series of simple paper toys which he calls "Tubeland". Each of the toys is assembled by rolling a single piece of paper into a tube, then gluing it in place. Pictured above are the paper toys representing Darth Vader, Carmen Miranda, and Nintendo's Mario. A wide range of pop culture characters are available including historical figures (Da Vinci, Mozart, etc), cartoon characters (Betty Boop, Flintstones, etc), and soccer players (Pele, Ronaldo Fenomeno). One of my personal favs is the Heath Ledger Joker paper toy. All 24 of the Tubeland paper toys may be downloaded here.

Dragon Ball Z Papercraft: Saiyan Chest Armor
In one episode of the Dragon Ball Z anime, Bulma the wife of Vegeta makes Saiyan chest armor for Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Trunks. Pictured above is a full size papercraft of that armor by Dancin_Fool at 405th.com. As explained in the series, Saiyan armor is built from a thin, elastic material that expands to fit the wearer. The template for the armor is available in Pepakura PDO format only and may be downloaded here.Monday, February 14, 2011
Totoro Papercraft
Here is another another papercraft from the ever popular Studio Ghibli animated movie, My Neighbor Totoro. In the movie two young Japanese girls encounter three "forest spirits" known as Totoros. This papercraft is of the largest Totoro of the three. DeviantART member Studioofmm created this papercraft in 2010. A copy of the four page template for the Totoro is posted here.Wednesday, February 2, 2011
The Last Airbender Papercraft: Aang
Illustrator Keith Allen calls his paper model of Aang the Last Airbender a "paper sculpture". The unique thing about this particular papercraft is it built from a single piece of paper (i.e. the template has only one part). Aang, of course, is the main character in the animated television series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. A copy of the template in .png format is posted here.Wednesday, October 6, 2010

Transformers Papercraft: Teletraan I Computer
The original Transformers animated television show ran from 1984 to 1987. In the show, the Autobots' base of operations was a massive spaceship known as the Ark. The Ark was operated by a semi-sentient computer named Teletraan I. Mandingo Rex of the Tformers forum has created a detailed papercraft version of Teletraan I for use as a prop with Transformer toys. A download of the Teletraan template is available here. Also available are printable sheets of wall and floor panels to build a diorama of the interior of the Ark.Monday, July 26, 2010
Reborn! Anime Papercraft: Box Weapons & Rings
The Reborn! anime series follows the trials of an Italian mafia family by the name "Vongola". In the show, Tsuna, the last male heir of the Vongola family, is trained by an infant assassin so he may one day take his place as the boss of the family. The mafia assassins in the show make use of "box weapons" that may only be activated by using a corresponding ring. These papercraft versions of the weapons are the work of deviantART member "Desubunny". The box weapon templates may be found here, while the ring templates are available here.Friday, July 9, 2010
Naruto Papercraft: Sage Mode Jiraiya
This Sage Mode Jiraiya paper model is an outstanding example of Korean papercraft. Jiraiya is a character in the Naruto animated television show which is based on a popular Japanese manga. Jiraiya is a Toad Sage, that is he has been trained by toads in the use of their secret arts. In battle, just before entering the altered state of Sage Mode, Jiraiya summons two elder toads to assist him with their abilities. The elder toads on Jiraiya's shoulders are my two favorite parts of this model. ^^ The template for this model includes the amazingly realistic rocky base shown in the photo. To download the template go here and click on the two red links just below the photo. I would give credit to this talented designer, but unfortunately I am unable to translate the Korean. :(Monday, April 19, 2010
Pokemon Papercraft: Boxy Pikachu
Here's a simple one piece Pikachu papercraft by Lee Urn Lun of Malaysia. As everyone knows, Pikachu is one of the main characters in the Pokemon video games and the Pokemon animated television show. This papercraft is a modification by Lun of his paper model bunny template. A download of the Pikuchu template is available here. The model in the photograph above was built by my young daughter. ^^

Saint Seiya Papercraft #2: Athena Statue
Here is another papercraft by Moustagua. Once again based on the Saint Seiya anime series, this is a papercraft statue of the Greek goddess Athena. In the series, Athena is assisted by warrior "saints" in her struggles against the other gods. This papercraft model appears to be heavily based on the real life gold and ivory statue of Athena that once stood inside the Parthenon in Athens. On the column is the traditional Greek winged symbol of victory and behind Athena's shield is a snake which is a symbol of Erichthonius, who legend has it was one of the early rulers of Athens. A PDF template of the statue may be downloaded here.Saint Seiya Papercraft #1: Odin Statue
The Saint Seiya anime television series was popular around the world in the late 80's but wasn't aired in the US until 2003. Based on a Japanese manga series, the storyline of the show follows the exploits of mystical warriors called "saints" who fight for the goddess Athena in her struggle to protect Earth from other gods in the Greek pantheon. In the "Asgard" story arc of the show the saints encounter characters from Norse mythology. This papercraft Odin statue by French papercrafter, Moustagua, is presumably based on an image from this particular story arc. Odin is king of the Norse gods much like Zeus is in the Greek pantheon. With instructions in French, the PDF template may be downloaded at the bottom of Moustagua's page here.Sunday, November 29, 2009
Dragon Ball Z Papercraft: Scouter
A scouter is a device commonly worn by soldiers in the Dragon Ball Z animated series. Scouters perform numerous functions including power level readings of opponents and interstellar communication. The papercraft scouter pictured above is a modification by deviantART member Ryo007 of a template located here. Ryo007's version has a larger lens than the original and may be downloaded here.
